Rebels Dance Candidate and Parents,

 

I am honored that you considered auditioning for the Rebels Dance Team at TF South High School. Being a Rebel team member has been the highlight of many students’ high school memories. It allows the opportunity for self-development in many areas: goal setting, high standards, morals, maturity, time management, responsibility, dependability, and self-discipline. Members will also learn the value of hard work, conformity, and sacrifice. As a parent of a hopeful member, it is important that you and your child realize the commitment and dedication required for all members once they make the team. Membership requires a sincere commitment from the family of a member as well. You will be asked to be both supportive and positive. Parent support is essential to the success of this organization. Before deciding to participate in the auditions, each candidate must be willing to abide by the Rebels Dance Team Constitution.

 

The Rebels Dance Team season is YEAR ROUND and includes performing at many school events, community events, and competitions; therefore, all members must be able to devote the majority of their time to practicing and performing. It is expected that ALL Rebels maintain high academic scores and excellent citizenship. If you have any concerns or questions with the guidelines or rules that govern this organization, they need to be discussed before tryouts.

 

After selection to the Rebels Dance Team, you should expect a busy, yet exciting school year. Not only will you have the opportunity to create long-lasting friendships, but gain a sense of responsibility, character, and pride in your school.
